Spoilers in review. I mostly liked the show, but was not a fan of how much more fragile the new series seems to have made the Addams'.In the other series' we've seen the Addams' actively participate in activities that would kill a normal person, ie Wednesday and Pugsley playing with an electric chair, intending to Guillotine Pubert who just caught the blade, all the attempts made on festers life by his wife in Addams Family Values, or jokes being made about consuming poison. So I was rather confused when in this version being stabbed was enough to make Wednesday sure she was about to die. Unless they make a sequel series, at this point Gomez has no reason to have gone to the school, as if he doesn't have the families usual resistance to injury, then we don't know of any special abilities he possesses. This version felt less like the Addams' and more like others wearing their names. It was still enjoyable none the less, but the characters felt like different people, and the series suffered for it, turning into a slightly darker coming of age school mystery solving show, rather than an extension of the Addams Family universe.
