Bad acting and poor writing.....The idea for the storyline seemed really fun, but felt like I was watching another teen drama. Val Killmar's character was dissed at every turn. Only 2 girls dancing with each other...maybe if they had other same sex couples at the dance, then the girls make out??? Seems really forced. Check the box, got LGBTQ+. Check the box, make all the female characters the strongest. Check the box, make all the male characters look like idiots and incompetent. Loved the cheesy movie. Don't love the forced "modern" series.
