I didn't really understand why this game got so much hate when I did my first playthrough of Dante's campaign. However, I've recently gotten the platinum trophy for it on PS4 and it's given me time to reflect. So, the bosses just feel kind of cheap/cheesy? A few of the generic enemies feel this way too. I feel like enemies in the first game were simpler, and easier to learn. Not only that, but they also felt fulfilling to defeat; the sentiment isn't carried over in 2. Lucia is another person you can play as in 2. She's an interesting character who wields dual blades, and only appears in the 2nd game I think. Um... this game is alright story wise, but if you're going for the platinum, get ready for annoying enemies and misery (especially in Bloody Palace.) I can see why people either like or dislike this game. Give it a try if you want. As I mentioned earlier; it's too not bad story wise.

I'm going to start off by saying that this game DOES NOT deserve the hate it gets. Honestly, most of the hate you see is from diehard RE fans that can't accept a different aspect to the series other than survival horror. That being said, there's a lot to like about this game. There still is horror, it's just sometimes outweighed by action. You can play four different campaigns; Leon, Chris, Jake, and Ada's (which is actually hidden until you complete the other three.) Honestly, Resident Evil 6 is actually a very good game. It also has multi-player, so you can play with friends. Don't listen to the hate and give it a chance. You might just like it.

Coming from someone who started out with the Outbreak series, as well as 6, 5, and 4, this game was surprisingly good. I originally gained a distaine for this game due to others hating on RE6 so much, but after playing it, I can't deny it... It's a masterpiece. Although the only reason I still play it is for speedrunning and RE Net, it's still pretty fun to play even after 100+ runs. Overall, I'd recommend this to anyone. Whether it be old school RE players, Those new to RE, or even those who don't really prefer survival horror and like 4-6 more. You can play as either Leon or Claire in this game. Here we witness the start of Leon's story before he became an agent of the government. If that interests you, watch the trailer, play the demo, or watch someone play a bit on YouTube. Then, if you like it, give it a go for yourself.

Honestly, the game's great. The more "free" feel to moving is way better than any other Resident Evil game I've played. It's super fun to roll around and slide. The story is by far the most interesting out of the entire series. It's also way more action packed, not only that but you also have a good variety of characters to play as. The fact that you don't have to save using a typewriter makes it so much more enjoyable. Overall, I'd recommend it to any Resident Evil fan, it's an absolute action packed blast.
