B. Dempsey – Google

This book is more than just the standard Lore that we're used to. While it does start with a couple of sections on classic brer rabbit folk lore there are also sections on historicallore, black magic lore, spirituals, testimonials, songs and poetry Lore. Each section tells the reader of the historical values of the African American people of thier respective times. It's quite a comprehensive book actually. Any scholar or Lore collector would be missing out greatly if they did not have this in thier collection. While this book does usually have a high price Tag, its certainly worth a couple hundred dollars at least for all that you learn.

This reboot is the best of 2022/23. I love all the new character designs and new characters in the show. Maya and her brother were an excellent replacement for sticky. They are much more involved with the main storyline and even serve as adopted child representation in the show. Their perspective is unique and makes them invaluable. Their role in the Juneteenth episode makes this continuation of the Proud family everything I could have expected and more. Just like its predecessor this series offers representation of The relevant social issues, popular trend commentary, and of course lessons on Black heratige all while still maintaining the wacky, magical and cartoony vibe that made us fall in love with the Prouds in the first place. It all combines to produce an important and mindful show. Just like the first series this Proud family has so much to offer its audience in the way of good moral values. I just wish I could buy it on DVD to share with my nondisney plus family. Maybe in the future.

Classic black comedy. I love the throw back soundtrack from start to finish and the Robin Harris memorial at the start. Its a great film that expresses the value and heart of the African American culture of the time. If your lucky enough to find the DVD buy it! Its rare to come by but it has an extra cartoon on it called the itsy bitsy spider. The extra toon is a classic short about a friendly spider versus an extreme exterminator. Its very cute.

I love this smart, Woke and hilarious Velma. She is exactly the way I always imagined Velma would be if she just got her chance in the spotlight. And I love the casting choice for the show everyone is preforming their role to perfection. I cant wait to see these charaters evolve in further seasons. Its going to be a treat. Please don't listen to the Old Karen's and Ken's complaints. Their just mad that OUR show is getting the reboot it deserves. With only 2 episodes out now is as good a time as any to catch up and see what all the buzz is about.
