I have been passing up this rom-com on Prime for months now and tonight I decided to watch it and it was surprisingly delightful! There were some over the top moments that I didn’t like, for example, Kip breaking up with Margo then later showing up to Margo’s sister’s wedding, and starting a fight at the reception. However, despite those scenes of strong annoyance, the rest of it was funny. I don’t think another actor could have fit the role of Griffin any better than Thomas Mann. He was adorable and a good guy. I thought the characters Margo and Griffin blended well together especially when Margo was comparing a shocking situation to different movies and Griffin was telling her how that movie doesn’t fit the situation. Also, I don’t believe I’ve seen other movies that play on the ‘cookie cutter’ home layout; I liked that idea. 4 star movie!
