SO MANY historical errors in this movie....for one, the library was no longer in existence during the time of Hypatia. Her death was politically motivated...not driven by religious intolerance nor was it sanctioned by Christians but rather by a mob driven by political ambition. Historical accounts of her death don't support Christian involvement at all. If you know anything about the director of this movie, you would know that he has an "ax to grind" with Christians and the Church. Other movies under his direction reflect the same sentiment. Too bad, as he does have talent.
