This movie gets two stars for two reasons: the charismatic Jason Momoa as lead, and filmed in my great hometown of Pittsburgh. Otherwise, movie was pretty bad.
Who doesn’t like the idea of the little guy (figuratively, in Jason’s case) taking on Big Pharma, using extralegal means when legal solutions are exhausted. And who doesn’t like an effective, well spoken hit man (the scene in the diner is by far the best in the movie, especially when The Hitman refers to Momoa as a dilettante). But then we get a totally ridiculous plot twist. SPOILER ALERT HERE.
The fact that a high school girl can wipe out a whole cadre of well armed professional bodyguards and hit men totally strains all reality. I did, though, enjoy showing how Big Pharma can only continue their egregious pricing schemes because of their purchase of politicians.
