First I have to say I was wary about this series when it was first announced. There's a lot of good lore to be told with this story and wasn't sure how it would be handled. I also was very hesitant about Henry Cavill playing Geralt. Let me say WOW. He absolutely knocked it out of the park with his performance. He was a perfect fit for the role and after the first episode I was sold. After finishing the series I can say that I really can't wait to see more of The Witcher.
Secondly I'm very curious why some of the major critics take such an issue with this adaptation? As far as I'm concerned they can eat their heart out. I found the whole experience to be enjoyable for start to finish and plan on rewatching it again. The one nit pick I do have about the show is it was a bit hard to follow at first. There are some story time line jumps that aren't exactly clear that they are jumps but after finishing it, it comes together nicely and all makes sense.
Beyond that though I would highly recommend the show to fans of The Witcher or just anyone who enjoys a good well put together show. Ignore the critics reviews and spend the time to watch it. You won't regret it.
