Awfull. A three hour film which is around three hours too long. Only in parts did I feel it was at all credible. Incoherent dialogue, poor musical score (annoying throughout the film), scene skipping from one extreme short conversation to another. I despair at cinema lately and if this is the best it can offer, my fears are not assuaged.

Typical Campion. Slow, airy fairy affair holding you in the hope that something is going to happen. When it does, it's disappointing almost to the extent it has not happened. Strong performances indeed, I love Kirsten Dunst, Jesse Plemons and Benedict Cumberbatch. This allied to beautiful scenery make this a film just about watchable if you fancy sitting and watching nothing happen. Either that or drive to a local river, choose a nice spot and watch the world go by for a couple of hours, it will be more enjoyable.

I've just sat through one of the most hysterical films I've ever watched. At every turn there is something to ridicule. Ridiculous plot, dodgy acting, miscast actors and CGI from the 90s. If it was a spoof it could not have been funnier to be honest A must watch for film goers that love ripping a film apart.
