Broken, Wooden, Robotic acting. Story had zero direction to it. Seemed the whole series was just floating threw nothingness and had no direction throughout the entire show. HUGE issue of logic and pragmatism missing throughout the show. HOW TF does a STONE fortress burn down and get destroyed in a fire. SO CRINGE. Cannot believe this show had $180 million budget. Do not waste your time with this d9gsh*t

Should have been a series. Had serious potential. However it clumsily stumbles from each set piece to the next. It's actually a rather stunning movie but the biggest flaw and it is a MASSIVE ONE, basically all of the characters are made redundant in the final act as only one can save the day. Would have been so much better if there was a series to steadily progress each characters arc. Serious waste of acting talent. Another issue is that the movie is so absurdly complicated with space jam mumbo jumbo that every character spends there time explaining all the mumbo jumbo in exposition.

Masterpiece filmmaker Villeneuve shines again on this epic recount of Frank Herbert's classic. Marketing on the movie emphasising it was a part 1 could have been better. Nevertheless one of the best films I've ever seen. However many people could say it's less good if the haven't read the book. I definitely I had a much better experience because I had read it before hand.

Poorly written, many plot holes. No surprise the movie lost about 40 million USD at BoxOffice. The cast is great but an actor can't fix a lousy film that stumbles from each set piece to the next. Comes with an absurd amount of exposition, basically the characters have to explain the plot, which is an immediate red flag
