Often overlooked when discussing online communities, moderators play a focal role in maintaining the integrity and shaping the focus of these spaces. These moderators expect little in return for an extraordinary amount of time and effort they put into maintaining these niche communities. Chapter 5 is a favorite, as you can subtly sense the author's humor as she delves into World of Warcraft and engages in her first dungeon raid. I highly recommend this very enjoyable and educational read, which is aptly appropriate during this pandemic where online communities are front and center as a way to socially interact.
