this book was, simply put, a masterpiece. i was in a year-long reading slump until i read this book. i literally could not put it down. i was reading it in the bath and at the dinner table and everything and i finished it in one day. i haven’t liked a book this much since i read “the bell jar” by sylvia plath. this book is so philosophical and introspective, which i absolutely love. if you’re a fan of that stuff, this book is for you. also, the writing is absolutely gorgeous, but so simple and easy to follow along with. my second favorite passage out of any book ever came out of this book. my only gripe is that it starts off kind of slow, but most books do because they have to set up the plot somehow. it just gets better and better until the end. i cannot recommend this book enough.
