I love that there is a movie depicting the life of Aaliyah. Unfortunately this movie reflected her romance with R Kelly, more so than her accomplishments. Her life past her first romance felt deflated and rushed. Somebody should try this again and get it right. Aaliyah’s portrayal on film needs to match what was done for Selena.
