Typically, I’m not an action movie viewer, but I really enjoyed SAS: Red Notice. It was quite the gripping thrill ride. I was surprised by the characters; they were pretty well-developed, especially Tom Buckingham, the protagonist. Sam Heughan did a great job portraying Tom as a multi-dimensional character, not your typical action hero. There were some surprise twists and irony in the story that added depth to it. The ending was open for a possible sequel, which I would definitely go see.

I was impressed with the leads (Sienna Miller as Edie and Guy Pierce as Warhol); very good acting. The cinematography and editing were quite artistic. But the plot was uneven and confusing at times.The characters were not clearly defined, especially the musician/lover. Was he Bob Dylan or not? Who were those people at The Factory? Who was that guy who would just suddenly show up and help Edie? Too many questions unanswered.
