This was obviously filmed in another country. Why pretend to be American? It's insulting because Americans wouldn't respond that way. Not one News station in America would carry that story to cause more clicks for a man's death. Not ONE!!!! Another clue this wasn't American is they way they use the f word... not at all like Americans.
From the fake American flag hung the wrong way on the wall in the police station, to the fake police dressed so oddly, the odd boot up for the cell phones (whose phone is not water proof? Even cheap ones are in 2021), and all the ugly ugly hair styles and clothes. It was very irritating. I would have preferred for the show to be filmed in Australia and set in Australia or Europe. It's like the directors and producers have never ever visited America, or even watched any American tv.
So if you watch, just pretend this is taking place in Australia, not a gloomy Los Angeles.
Now the story is very European, not as good as, but like Broadchurch.
