Uyare is a fast paced thriller portraying the life of an acid attack victim. You may not ,in the film, find the conventional necessities for a movie to be a thriller but Uyare felt no less a thriller to me. The movie takes in serious social issues as its subject matter. Pallavi,the protagonist of the movie is a hard rock who is not the cental piece of the film but one Who takes off the film to great heights.The movie is realistic in the sense that its focus is on the inner transformation of an acid attack victim, their unparalleled courage that takes them to face the world again. Making and acceptance of movies of this point to an underlying fact that the society is still skeptical regarding a woman's boundless abilities and the movie is a cry for a change in attitude towards women. I really wish you all to watch Uyare not simply as a ' feel good' movie but as a 'feel change' one.
