10/10 5 stars Carey Mulligan left me in awe - an absolutely stunning performance -delivering every line with an uncanny blend of venom, wit, and a razor sharp knife wound to the gut. Another commenter mirrored my reaction to the movie in just one word - unhinged. Promising Young Woman was so magnetic and all-consuming that I quite literally found myself putting on lipstick. LIPSTICK. Clearly forgetting we’re in a worldwide pandemic and a mask would cover it right up—nonetheless I was ready to go out and find some “really nice guys” and mess them UP. After seeing so many movies that follow the same overdone narratives, I’m hardly ever left surprised enough for my jaw to drop, but jeez. This movie had me in a trance, feeling all the feels. left needing to ice my jaw after it was left agape for so long. Anyways enough with the metaphors. watch this movie. it’s worth the 19.99 price tag times 10.

Love this show. Watching again for the second time after seeing it right when it came out. Doesn’t get old. Possibly an unpopular opinion, but one of my favorite characters is the dad, Franklin (minus the cheating of course).
