A good start introducing a dystopian future where women are treated like cattle. Women’s primary role after a cataclysmic war, has been reduced to repopulating a world that is controlled by different factions led by men. There are exceptions to this rule and many questions left unanswered. Everything slowly ( and I mean slowly, very bloody slowly) sinks into a mire of mediocrity. This eventually became so tiring ( I.e. It put me to sleep) that I gave up at chapter 36 and picked up a “Murakami” to get my brain clicking over again.
