(At Episode 3) So I have been playing Halo since it came out, when I was 8 years old. I instantly fell in love with the game and as I got older and Halo 2 came out, I found The Fall of Reach. From there I have been grabbing all lore I could find in the Halo Universe. I love everything that all the authors and studios have written. Yes, the series has had its ups and downs, big hypes and big let downs. I've enjoyed all the films they came out with, but always have wanted a GOOD TV show. When I heard that this show was going away from "canon", I was very skeptical. How could they go away from the root of it all? Then, Episode 1 dropped. OH. MY. GOD. Its everything I've wanted and didn't know I needed. Yes, the story is different. Pretty much the only thing you can count on that is the same is Covenant are trying to wipe out Humanity. But the changes that they have made have made something new, exciting, bold, and beautiful. I tear up every time I see the opening credits. I will NEVER skip that scene. To the number of companies that had a hand in this show, I implore you to not listen to the naysayers. The Halo community has essentially became what the haters on the internet are: trolls that feel safe behind a keyboard. You are doing an amazing job. There is a whole fanbase and new people discovering the show that want more. Please, please, please believe that and fight for this show. We will do what we can as fans to support you, just let us know what you need. And to all the Heretics who dare soil the path laid before us, soon the great journey will begin. But when it does, the weight of your heresy will stay your feet. And you shall be left behind.
