Started off enjoying this, although murder mystery is not a usual genre for me. Half way though and I’m very bored of the repetition and the loathsome characters. I’m wondering if I can continue - is the second half the same ? Life’s too short and im struggling to see what the other reviewers find so engaging. The characters are quite well developed but only from the one dimensional position of the main character. I’ve just read Glorious heresies and Shugi Bain- so perhaps I’ve been spoiled by fabulous characters and beautiful writing.
