So far I am just annoyed by the introduction and chapter one.
I was recommended to read it by people I respect. Angelou and Steinem reviewed it well. Based on those inputs I will push on. Maybe I will see what they saw.
I like data--and see none. I like sourcing and find little.
E.g. She writes:
"The men in my life are wary of using the word "love" lightly. They are wary because they believe women make too much of love."
Yikes! Maybe it's because of five other reasons, like we take it very seriously. We know sexual attraction and know that's not love. Many of us men take the word with weight because we mean it if we say it.
It just is not as simple as she writes.
