This production, because it can't be called a documentary, is a one sided, self serving piece of narcissistic rubbish.. What a load of boring drivel.. The irony of them constantly bleating on about leaving their royal duties because they wanted privacy, and then being involved in a multi million dollar Netflix show is glaring.. If they are truly against everything that the firm stands for then why do they keep the titles? Why, if protecting their children from it all, are they accepting the prince and princess titles of their children? It is also glaringly obvious who the racist is.. It's M.M.. She has never been part of the black community.. But now she has totally wiped the white family members.. Truth be told, who knew that she had a black mother before she was with Harry? This is just an obviously planned by her attempt at making more money and keeping herself relevant.. As for Harry, he has been looking for a woman on whom to suckle since he was a child.. She saw that and pounced.. Her mockery of HRH QE11 is atrocious.. There is absolutely no way that she wasn't offered assistance in learning the way to respond in circumstances that were new to her.. As for the reviews which go on about mental health issues etc, all I see is her using coercive control over Harry, so he's never going to heal while he's with her.. It bears so many similarities to his great uncle David and Wallis Simpson.. Sadly, David was a broken shell of a man, as is Harry..

I've rewritten this review three times already.. Each time i watched a couple of episodes.. Once I realised that it's not supposed to be a belly jiggling comedy.. Fabulous cast.. Each of whom carries their character really well.. It is like they took every yobbo Aussie trait and crammed them all into this little beach side town.. At first that was hard to watch.. But with each episode, as we get to know them it all falls into place.. It was great to see so many legendary Australian actors, not least of which is Val Lehman.. Colin Donnell slips nicely into his character and once i got past his grating American accent amongst all of the Aussies, he was a delight to watch.. Beautifully photographed.. A really, really nice bit of viewing..

Considering the calibre of the actors in this I was excited to watch it. Especially since the screenplay was written by Danny Brocklehurst.. I love a mystery.. The biggest mystery in this one though is why on earth did they make it? I've given it two stars solely because of the cast. Firstly it was 3 episodes too long. The story could have easily been told in 4 or 5 episodes.. There were times when it droned on for so long about nonsensical things that I was fast forwarding it.. The obvious time filling flashbacks told us nothing.. A good mystery will drop little hints throughout the plot. I actually don't even think that Danny Brocklehurst new what was happening.. It's a shame because his writing is normally stellar.. And the Ken and Barbie thing was just ridiculous.
