The time line does not make sense. According to the book within 1 hour "hours to morning:5" and "hours to morning:4" the main character had conversations and managed "a couple hours of sleep." Also, the whole part where she thinks her co-resident left makes no sense when it was already emphasized how a loud alarm sounds when the doors are opened. This girl is supposed to be smart it would not take her most of the book to realize he couldn't have left because she would have heard the alarm. Others have already talked about the flaws regarding reality of psych wards and people with mental illnesses. There are other issues regarding contradicting information throughout the story and lack of logic. Honestly, while reading, I questioned whether someone ever actually read the book before publishing it. I cannot believe that the author is an actual physician that specializes in brain injury. That is certainly not evident in the writing here.
