Gripping, powerful, and superbly acted. But this movie fails because of its deliberate innuendo that President Trump is a racist. The second episode contains authentic TV interviews of Trump condemning the African American teenagers who confessed to the beating of Mieli. Nowhere in the series is the point made that many New Yorkers (unaware that the police had coerced the confessions) also condemned the alleged attackers. Depicting President Trump in a negative light was totally gratuitous. The movie could have made a powerful statement about faults in the American criminal justice system without slandering the President.
