I'm not familiar with The Witcher comic books, but if the series is any indication of the comics, then I'll skip the comics, too. I really tried to give this show a chance, but there is no plot and the characters and the story just kind of meanders all over the place with no real direction.
While Henry Cavill is fine and fun to look at it, his looks are not enough to keep me watching this boring drivel.
If a show doesn't capture my interest within the first three episodes, then I would normally switch off the show. However, I really wanted to give this show a chance so I've watched nearly all of the episodes with the exception of the last episode. I hope the last and final episode goes somewhere and tells some kind of story. If it doesn't, then I will not watch the second season of The Witcher.
If you like shows without plots, with zero character development, and stories that go nowhere, then The Witcher is for you.
