I think was a well-written piece of satire with a believably unlikeable main character. I love the critique of privilege throughout the book and I definitely think if you're interested in think-pieces and also the inside-out of the publishing industry then this is worth the read.

This was a such a fun, light-hearted read and it reminded me of the days where I would sit and read Tom Sawyer or Huckleberry Finn. Annie is such a character and her development was so interesting to see. The way she recounted her life and it’s events was truly great child storytelling. Though I am confused about the sickness she experienced and why she suddenly hated her mother so much, it was otherwise really enjoyable.
