I’m so tired of stereotypical writing in stereotypical shows. Thankfully, She Hulk is here to save the day! Gone are the days where a first episode establishes a protagonist’s strengths, flaws, motivations, and goals. Gone are the days where a first episode sets up the season long plot, the antagonist, and any stakes to get the audience to invest in the show.
Now we have shows like She Hulk! A cinematic masterpiece far above such a trivial thing like writing a real, complex character struggling to achieve a goal on their hero’s journey, surrounded by three dimensional supporting characters.
What are we replacing such needless activities with? Hulk yoga! Captain America virgin debates! Masterful fight choreography and CGI in a gripping final scene! As Scorsese would say: “This is cinema. Real art, plain and simple.”
Now if you’re a lesser being (and probably misogynistic tbh) who maybe prefers actually compelling stories, worry not! Hulk says “bruh!” So you’ll still think this show is 5 stars, like me. 👍🏻
