My husband and I used to watch Forensic Files before bed every night, even if we’d seen the same episode before. We were both looking forward to the reboot Forensic Files II, but are very disappointed. The narrator from the older series Peter A. Thomas was the reason we enjoyed the show. His voice was nearly hypnotic a made all of the facts revealed during the show feel much more factual than emotionally charged as so many shows today will do. The new Forensic Files II completely missed the mark with this new narrator. It’s as though we’re listening to the dramatic movies announcer voice. We found this narrator’s voice to be unsettling and the facts reported seem over-dramatized. It’s so overdone that I keep waiting to hear the narrator run out of energy. We really do not like this reboot at all. Maybe if they replace the narrator.
