This was BRILLIANT, in so many ways.
Emma Thompson would be worth watching if she was doing nothing but reading a ketchup bottle. But she does so much more in this. Her co-star, Daryl McCormick, is an incredibly handsome young man, that I "read" as biracial, and with a charming Irish accent.
This is a movie about a 63 year old widow exploring sex with a sex worker, after a long and unsatisfying marriage. She has a list of things she wants to try - so she can tick them off her list.
There's so much good here about 1) preconceptions about sex, 2) consent, 3) preconceptions about sex and sex workers, and much more.
Both people end up being both brave, and vulnerable.
And the ending is PERFECT.
