I'll start things off by saying, this movie doesn't make much mention in its billing or advertisement that you're only getting "Part 1". Even my ticket in the theater just said "Wicked", not "Wicked: Part 1", so when the story ended after the "Defying Gravity" number with a "To be continued screen", needless to say I wasn't happy. I asked my theater for a refund and they refused. So there's an element of bait and switch with it, which is already a poor start. Where does it go from there? It's a cake with all frosting and no substance. Everything is laden with CGI. The dancing in the musical numbers (which are sparsely spread apart from one another) is half-hearted and very little of it is actually the talent or theatrics of the performers. This is NOT worth going to see. It is a waste of money, especially in a theater. You can watch better performances of the songs on Youtube for free than you can in this theatrical production.
