This film pays hommage to the early days of flight and the skilled pilots who stunts were amazingly cutting edge - as viewed from the citizen's point of view in the grandstands - but well-recognized by those stick jockeys who survived WWI. The years following the Great War, with a plethora of daredevil pilots whose precision skills were no longer needed, are perfectly depicted in this film with barnstorming which took place across the United States. Interwoven into the film are the early days of Hollywood and the lives lost during filming; along with the creation of the CAA, today's FAA. Much kudos to those stunt pilots who truly brought this film to life.
