It’s the 3rd best Movie. 4th place and beyond are so far away from the ‘feel’ of Alien that need not be included. A love letter the the franchise and littered with nods to both Alien and Aliens. I enjoyed it and pleasantly surprised. I was expecting more trash. World design and tech, a spot on match, were great and in keeping with the original 2 movies. This is, in my opinion, the 3rd Alien movie (Alien 1.5). Tied in, and sits nicely, between Alien and Aliens. Some original content, twists and new ideas to further the Alien experience. 3.75 stars for this one rounded up to 4. Alien is 5 and Aliens 4.75 for me.

Cliché to the point of vomiting. Action and kill scenes are very well executed. The portrayal of the stereotypical Sicilian‘s is almost slapstick with them all eating spaghetti, drinking red wine with cured meat hanging from the ceiling in their silk suits. Worst in the trilogy with a good 45mins in the middle of the movie where nothing is developed except overstating Denzel’s love for the town he’s in.
