I’m shocked at people saying the acting was great. It was so bad. I felt like I could see them acting, if that makes sense. Of like I was on set, or watching a play. The writing left a lot to be desired. I couldn’t really connect with any character on a real level. The writing but also the acting got in the way of any of that. And the parts that were intended to scare, made me laugh. The one with the boy in the hospital bed.. a loud abrupt cackle escaped me. And the “scary” scenes (possessed eyes, cheap body contortions etc went on and on and on. It was very strange. Like I was watching improvisation and waiting for it to go to the next part or scene. It just felt ridiculous I couldn’t get into this movie at all.
