Excellent! All the characters are played to perfection by this cast! The two main characters Wei and Lu Zhan were my favorite! Even though Lu Zhan starts off very strict, disciplined and aloof from Wei, he begins to soften and I believe falls dare I say it, falls in love with him. To the point where he joins Wei in his campaigns against unfair practices by the different clans. Wei from the time he lays eyes on Lu Zhan falls for him but he is a prankster and has a brilliant mind for solving mysteries. There are no kisses, hugs or I love yous floating around just subtle hints when Wei asks his sister about “liking” someone or when Lu Zhan’s brother tells Wei about how loyal, stubborn and devoted he was to their Mother even after she left. Their body language says it all, the stares, complete devotion and Yuan all seal their bond. This is a story about friendship, love, devotion, sacrifices, hardships, loyalty and complete forgiveness. In watching this I cried, laughed and had a great time watching this story unfold. It’s 50 Episodes at 42 minutes a pop but it is well worth it, just to watch all the reality the actors bring to their characters-awesome! Wei/Zhan= Soulmates for life!
