Nic Cage clearly enjoyed this role but the movie was annoying and had one of the most unsatisfying endings I've ever seen. Joel Kinnamon is as wooden as ever. If you like to see justice served then you will absolutely despise how this shallow plotline turns out...advise you to stay away. Also, the script writer uses some kind of obvious pen name so presumably he didn't want to lay claim to this screenplay either...!!!

One star because of the schlock writing, where, in the very first episode, they managed to kill a completely innocent dog as an arbitrary plot device. They could just as easily have made the servant break out in boils or anything they wanted to, if they wanted to show Catherine’s presumed ability, but they decided to kill an animal and that is writing of the lowest, cheapest level.

Best (underrated) Tom Cruise movie EVER
