Poorly researched. Shrier is not clear in her arguments and uses flimsy evidence to try to create the outcome she desires. Shrier uses discredited research to try and back up her point of view and uses fear-mongering and evocative language to manipulate those who are uneducated on the topic to side with her. She shows little respect for the people she has decided to write about in her book. Shrier clearly did not not asked many, if any, transgender people directly about their experiences, choosing to ask distant relatives and bystanders what they believe the trans person should be feeling and taking that as gospel.
