I’ve never left a movie review until this one. I love horror movies. I heard so many people saying this was “the scariest movie I’ve ever seen”, and wanted to watch it. Man, was I disappointed. If you’ve seen It Follows, you’ve seen this movie. It was basically It Follows, but in a different font. If you turned Smile in as an essay, you’d fail for plagiarism. If they had ended the movie with the fire, I would have given a higher rating. But nope. They continued it and ruined what could have been a great message to audiences about facing your fears and conquering your mental health. Unrelated to the review, but poor Kyle Gallner is always drawing the short straw in horror movies. First Jennifer’s Body and now this. Dear God, someone let this man be a survivor 😂
