By far one of the worst movies I have ever seen in my life - by some margin. I didn’t go in with high hopes but the let down was precipitous nonetheless. What is even more disappointing than the lack of excitement and plot development is the fact that there were some very high calibre actors whose capabilities are greater than what this movie allows for. Children’s movie or not, each dull moment that presses on is much worse than the one before it and any hopes for a crescendo is met with a lukewarm attempt at drawing a tear from the audience. Emotionally, there’s not much in the film to grasp on to. Neither the loss of Hugo’s father nor George’s downfall and rise back to glory is particularly emotional. I wish I had cut my losses midway when I knew the story wasn’t going to take the viewer very far. I would not recommend Hugo even to my worst enemy. Watch at your own risk 😮‍💨😓

Oh my goodness stop it - this show is almost exactly like Lost from 19 years ago! How come the way you think is exactly like before? Don’t you grow as a creative? You keep planting all these seeds of mystery and grow it to the point where you can’t possibly resolve them and take no responsibility in giving us closure! Don’t do that. I thought you said you learned your lesson the first time. You have ethical responsibilities - you know that right? Watch Weeds. 8 seasons - lots of plots/ subplots, tons of characters. In 2 final episodes - it gives closure to everything. Wraps it up in a wholesome way and leaves the viewers wanting for nothing. Learn and grow man. Concerned viewer.
