A very gripping thrilling movie that gives you a sense of uncertainty for the fate of 3 main characters at the 40 minutes of a movie until the very end, the build up of the who's going to be saved is absolutely masterful, which gives you a lot of anxiety until you get a very satisfactory ending.
Not to mention, the movie has all of this great political and business satire on [SPOILER WARNING] the mayor that try to keep business going by did anything necessary to keep the image of the island, including convince the medical examiner to made false diagnosis that the girl was hit by ship, not chewed by sharks. Even go as far as convincing the tourists to swim in the beach to make everything feels normal, no matter how much Brody and Hooper tried to convince him, until pond accident forced him to sign the $10.000 bounty deal paper.
What a damn freaking experience! This movie is solid blockbuster masterpiece, now i understand how it was influential back then. Shame that Spielberg idea for Jaws 2 got rejected, because it is fascinating idea for exploring war themes due to Quint experience.
