The movie is not fanatical. One dailog i liked was "there is no grief as great as denying the truth till its too late". The old lady shares how she was completely against her husband and never prayed (or asked for god to help). But she realized some flaw in her approach/strategy after his sudden death and lost him. She repented for being like that whenever she visited his grave.
So its quite an internal thing. Something which we think is very significant or the right strategy suddenly becomes insignificant or a wrong strategy before we realize it and that creates permanent scars. The actual right strategy should always ackowledge the presence of God and his grace along with our sincere, serious and without any ulterior motive efforts.
So its not the question of success or failure. its question of a strategy (right or wrong) with seeking the gods grace.
