Overall, it's a "cute" movie that deals with the profound concept of an afterlife. That said, the casting leaves much to be desired. With the exception of the hilarious Jennifer Coolidge, there is little to no chemistry between the actors, which really deflates the potential of this film. It feels like the actors selected were third-tier picks behind initial inquiries to A and B list options.
The storyline falls pretty flat, but it could be largely in part to the aforementioned lack of chemistry and character development.
For most audiences, especially those with low expectations, this film is worth a watch. If you're looking to be edified for the experience - keep looking elsewhere.
