This is my review of Xenoblade 3 after completing over 100 hours of the game. And this review will tie in with my experiences of the first two. I enjoyed this game overall but just had some minor issues with the game. First off, I really did enjoy the combat except for the class system. I feel as though you lose your identity once you are able to choose some else’s weapon. Maybe if they were to only have maybe two or three weapons each, that would have been okay. Thats why I made sure at the end someone was using their weapon based on “S” rank. Second, although the character dynamics was cool, I thought maybe the story didn’t involve any urgency. Kinda why I like xenoblade 2 the most because you had a purpose and urgency to go to Elysium. Not so much here within six chapters into the game, you finally get the true goal of the story. Although I did enjoy the ties it had with the first two games.(Again, late into the game) Sound was great and the musical score was like the other two. I give the composers thumbs up. And to be an aging system , the Switch really did held up and the lands were beautiful and colorful. I’d say it’s a win when the switch can handle a lot on the screen. One last gripe was I didn’t connect with Noah as I did with Rex. But their was emotional scenes which I liked throughout the story that helped the character dynamics. Overall, I enjoyed this game as I’m a fan of the series and look forward to playing the DLC to tie it all in.
