I imagine this is what watching Jaws in theatres felt like when it first came out. This isn’t your Godzilla fighting some other monster and helping mankind indirectly. This is the what Godzilla was always meant to be. The embodiment of terror. Wreaker of havoc. Destroyer. Bringer of death. This movie was so good and it wasn’t another Hollywood franchise movie, trying to outdo the last instalment. Godzilla Minus One is the cycle breaker. Story driven. It’s flawlessly executed. It won’t disappoint you. I may even buy this when it’s released.
