John Travolta did good acting for the role but he wasn’t believable enough to play Gotti. When I see him onscreen all I can think of is GREASE & SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER. Also the soundtrack didn’t go with the movie whatsoever, they definitely should’ve rethought that whole process. Supposedly Gotti was a family man and his community adored him blah blah blah, but that’s not enough to turn a villain into a superhero. And the bottom line is you can’t really romanticize a mobster/murderer. Everyone’s got a story but I don’t think this one needed to be told especially since we’ve seen it done more beautifully and eloquently as in The Godfather & Goodfellas. Those are classics and unfortunately this looked really low budget and haphazardly put together. Go watch the documentary they did for A&E channel that’s 100x better I kid you not! But this movie is a HELL NO for me.
