Amazing movie. All negatives reviews might be paid trolls from Mega family mafia. Mahesh is a one man army. He is outstanding in every frame. All other actors have done a decent job. Music is routine but its the common issue with Thaman. Trivikram dialogues are good, direction is okay. It’s not a routine story but the presentation is similar. A must watch.

Demented, misogynystic, Islamophobic, traumatizing experience. It is basically violent porn. Women are beaten, bodies just butchered, haunting music, and absolutely a perfect example of a psychotic director whose family I feel so sorry for. How 90% of this movie even made it through censor board is a big concerning dilemma.

A very immersive but tiring experience. It is a fine example of how something can be both a masterpiece but simultaneously an obvious bogged down attempt at unnecessary Hollywood world-building. The movie nerd in me is excited to see where the future takes this franchise. But the very existence of this movie makes the climax of the previous one moot. Sully and Neyetri have married, have 4 kids and living peacefully. They also take in Spider, the human-born son of Quaritch. But the humans return. Quaritch comes back as an Avatar. And now he is on a mission to hunt Sully. To save their people, the family moves to another tribe near the sea. They learn to adapt to the new life along with facing some difficulties. Tragedy does strike the family at the end but they stick together and beat Quaritch. But the story is filled with too many repetitive stories and at times illogical plot holes. Kiri who is the daughter of Grace’s (Weaver) Avatar form. We don’t know who her father is, and she is kind of assumed to be a virgin birth. Kiri has a very deep connection with Eywah and can seem to control all of life on Pandora. Almost like a Anakin Skywalker who never turns to the darkside. And Spider is loved by everyone in the family except Neyetri. Serious Jon Snow vibes here. Neteyam the older son who is responsible and caring perfectly fits with Robb Stark. And it doesn’t make sense how Sully thinks he can save their own forest clan by moving to the sea and putting that entire sea tribe in danger. But then again Avatar (2009) itself was just an immersive experience but with a very basic plot. I would still highly recommend this movie for everyone to see but it just does not have the same touch that the first one had. We still have environment vs capitalism, the technologically advanced species unfairly invading a native species and spirituality and pacifism vs greed and violence. Do we really need 3 more sequels? No, but Hollywood may at a very desperate time. I don’t know what the future holds but repeating the same themes again and again will get old pretty quickly.

A terrible disservice and insult to Hinduism. I had assumed this was going to be a Hindutva propaganda film when I first saw the teaser with devotional tones. And yes, all the villains are attired like Muslims (Ravana looks more like Khilji).. But there is no devotion. I don’t think there was any scene in the movie where the word “Rama” is uttered. I am actually surprised there are not more protests about the demeaning way Om Raut has shown this classic. Basically every single adaptation of Ramayan in all of history was better than this poor rendering. What was he trying to do? Indrajith has multiple tattoos and is now apparently the Flash? Vali, Sugriva and Angada are shown as Apes (Planet of Apes style)? Prabhas is misfit for this role. He looks tired, old and disinterested. Sanon is not apt for this role at all. It is a travesty the way Sitaji was portrayed in this movie. She is semi-nude for most of the movie anyways. Saif seems genuinely interested but poor characterization ruins the role. I guess he also has multiple personality disorder? The actor who played Lakshmana had the most screen-time and yet was so stiffly played throughout the movie. Oh and not to mention the cringe dialogues (especially when they try to light Hanuman’s tail).. but most important of all this movie shows two important things. First, BOLLYWOOD IS INCAPABLE OF MAKING ANY DEVOTIONAL FILMS OR ANY SENSIBLE FILMS RESEMBLING HINDU CULTURE. It is truly pathetic that such an industry would be so incapacitated. Whether if it is nepotism or the movie mafia who knows, but it confirms the Dark Future of Bollywood. Second, Prabhas is likely done as a bankable pan-India Star. Bahubali is Rajamouli not the cast. RRR is Rajamouli not the cast. You cannot build a star brand based on one movie with Rajamouli because he will not always hold your hand. But Prabhas does deserve it. How did he think this movie was going to be well received? Either he does not care or he is simply just doing this for the money. With the amount of money and promotion done on this film, there should be no excuses. All these glowing reviews not only baffle me but also concern me for the lack of respect people have towards faith.

One of the worst movies ever. To take a classic like this and to ruin it this way is a tragedy. The only actor who fulfilled his role is sadly Mohan Babu of all people. I get the media wants to prop up Samantha but to fulfill a role like requires an actress with more grace and ability to show different shades. Dancing and dressing in skimpy clothes is one thing but to show the classiness of a devoted wife is not in Samantha’s capacity. Sai Pallavi or Srileela or even Ananya Nagella would have been better. The hero is just there to look handsome but does not have the ability to act. At times, he looks much younger than Samantha. The VFX is poor. Gunasekhar does his best but he is not working with much given his choices. Gunasekhar is smart taking Allu Arha, who did her best, but the role would have been better highlighted with someone who does not have the powerful movie-mafia family background. Overall a wasted effort at adapting a classic love story with poor acting choices.

4/5. It’s Balakrishna and Boyapati. So let’s just throw logic out of the window. This is a movie that critics will not like, but when seen in theaters it’s just an amazing experience for the regular audience. It works because it’s first of a kind when it comes to the genre. There’s really not much to the story, the typical good beats evil. Two Balakrishnas separated at birth due to destiny. One becomes a local demi-god trying to clean up Rayalaseema and marrying Pragya Jaiswal. The other one an Aghora. Boyapati has shown once again that given the right ingredients, he can always put together a MASS feast. You have to appreciate the creativity and the uniqueness in presenting Balayya in the Aghora role. It’s almost like he’s an unstoppable Hindu version of Thanos. Pragya is okay, she did she had to do as a glamour heroine.. Jagapathi Babu was good in his usual way. Srikanth tried hard and presented as a raging villain but at times just falls flat. The main villain (new actor) does what he is told. Sai Kumar’s other younger brother (Ayappa Sharma) plays another evil aghora. One wonders what would have happened If they casted Ravi Shankar as the main villain instead.. even Poorna had a good emotional role and she delivered.. And last but not least, Balayya the Aghora himself. He’s good in the family man role but a whole different level when it comes to Agora character. It’s a role that surprisingly fits him and him only. I don’t think any of the current leading actors would have pulled this role off. There are shades of his father in some scenes. The unsung hero is Thaman. His background score and the songs are just mesmerizing and fresh. Its the BGM alone that elevates the scenes at various times throughout the movie. As far as drawbacks, it was a bit awkward to have an emotional mother sentiment episode for a hero we know is > 60 yrs old. I guess it fits in the story but just not for the actor. Again, Srikanth was an inspirational choice but could have been better. And yes there is a lot of violence just in case if you are not a fan of it. But it’s a very memorable movie because of the music, the message, the Aghora character and the unique fights. There are some really good dialogues and scenes about importance of Hindu Temples and Gods, and on the true meaning of Hindu Dharma. I just hope they won’t remake this in Bollywood..

It’s literally Murari meets Geethanjali meets Titanic.. basically what happens when someone who believes in pre-destiny falls in love and tries to change his destiny for love… the palmist idea was good to start with but gets lost somewhere in between. Some of the scenes just don’t add up. Prabhas gave it his best but at times he looks old and awkward (his nose). Pooja did a good job but there’s no chemistry between them. Visually it’s an amazing movie. Music and BGM is very pleasant. Some of the actors like Jagapathi Babu are only mere cameos. Prabhas is definitely facing the Rajamouli curse (every hero suffers flops after doing a Rajamouli movie)..

Music is very good.. direction is good at places.. a decent cast.. Sethupati is by far the highlight.. a scene stealer in every frame he’s in.. the lead cast did the best they could.. Vaishnav Tej probably had one of the most polished debuts among all of the Mega Family heroes (if you compare all of their first movies)... Krithi was decent for her first movie.. but the issue is that the movie sets a dangerous precedent and the climax is very disturbing and illogical.. if you wanted to point out something new about what it means to be a man or redefine Tollywood’s perspective on manhood, then you don’t need to resort to emasculation.. it’s not a movie to be seen with family or kids..

It’s a very funny movie.. all 3 leads are very good.. Naveen has the biggest role of the three.. the heroine is okay... her dubbing is a bit irritating.. Vennela Kishore’s extended cameo is a laugh riot... the issue is that it starts off really well and then at one point felt like they were just dragging the movie over and over..

It’s a typical Telugu masala movie.. praising the hero, beautiful obsessive heroine, menacing villain, 3 fight scenes with 5 songs, countless punch dialogues and there you go.. Rashmika becomes very annoying.. Prakash Raj starts off being terrifying but then becomes a joke.. music is just okay.. the Mindblock song was very well shot.. I am not sure though why Vijayshanthi chose this role.. it’s not typical of the roles she presented in the past.. some of the comedy scenes are good but some are just a drag.. Mahesh though is the highlight.. he’s adept at comedy, just fun to watch dance, fights with ease and amazing as always in emotional scenes (often underestimated).. overall a one time watch with family..
