This first out-of-the-gate study Bible based on the NRSVue is very though in terms of content, especially in the individual book introductions.scholarship is up-to-date and seems complete, I.e., presenting the main theories and arguments about authorship, date, place, etc. The notes are helpful and often contain cross references to parallels or antecedent passages. The tone throughout is unbiased and non-religious, but rather academic. So one is not going to encounter apologetics as other study Bibles have. Biggest flaw: very thin paper that bleeds text. My edition was one of the first printings, (September 2023) and I’ve heard that it is a printers’ error and will be corrected in the future. It takes so,Ed getting used to, but it can be done.
In short, excellent and contemporary scholarship, less than ideal printing. I recommend it highly.
