I wanted to like this game. I played both Baldur's Gates back in college, made my way through Divinity 2, and I've been playing 5e D&D since the pandemic started (I dabbled in 2nd edition back in middle/high school). If you're not familiar with the Pathfinder system (I am not) be prepared to look up a lot of tutorials on how things work. Kingdom management is a pain, and gets in the way of fun. Difficulty spikes are atrocious, especially toward the end game. I had problems with the game crashing when doing mundane things, like loading animations on inventory screens.
I managed to slog my way to the 7th chapter, and after the third fight of a bunch of enemies who can summon a bunch of creatures and stun my characters every turn, even when they're buffed to the gills, made me shut this off and delete from my hard drive.
If you like Pathfinder you'll probably like this. If you're looking for the glory days of Baldur's Gate or Planescape: Torment, check out Tides of Numerra or the Divinity series.
