Growing up with Leonard Bernstein, starting with the "Leonard Bernstein Concerts for Children" at Lincoln Center, to then name so many concerts with Maestro conducting, and then of course his musicals, growing up in NYC, a musician myself ~ I fell in love with him at the age of 6.
I thought that I would be critical of the movie before I stepped into this wonderful epic film. I felt as if Maestro was alive again, as Bradley Cooper transformed himself into who he was. Absolutely brilliantly written, and acted . And Carey Mulligan gave us a good taste of who Felicia Montaelagre was to Leonard.
I also enjoyed experiencing him in his personal life, which so resembled the passion and depth of his creative life.
