The two title characters were bland and kind of flat, Neverland was a barren island, and Captain Hook felt like a completely different character. The few redeeming factors are that Alan Tudyk makes a fun cameo as Mr. Darling, Tinkerbell and Tiger lily are better than they were in the original (although that’s not saying much), the cast is very diverse, and although Captain Hook doesn’t feel like Captain Hook, Jude law does a good job playing this portrayal of the character. Overall, if you want to watch a Peter Pan story and you can’t watch Steven Spielberg’s Hook, this is not the top pick.
