There was very little substance in the fundamental relationship. I would have made very different choices about how to setup the underlying dynamic that would lead to a stepford wives scenario. The whole thing was shallow and not very funny. The initial character was ruthless, unfeeling, and worthless…. why would she suddenly develop a sense of decency after displaying NONE at the beginning of the movie?
